With all due respect to all the community members that did purchase tickets for this weekends Pan African celebration event. The G.A.C.N. (Global Afrikan Communities Network) is obligated to deal with this unfortunate situation with the highest level of respect and integrity. This weekends Pan African event is still good to go, and things are in place for an historic weekend here in Toronto Canada Feb 24th & 25th. We regret the fact that Dr. Umar Johnson will not be participating in this weekends event as previously planned. This very unfortunate situation was beyond our control as we have spent a considerable amount of time, energy and finances promoting this event for the community, and have been involved in organizing these type of community initiatives for over 20 plus years. Our Network of Black owned business, organizations and individuals have a very honorable reputation here in Toronto and has never in our history of doing these type of community initiatives, had to deal with this type of disregard, uncertainty and straight up disrespect in trying to host a guest in our great city. We the G.A.C.N. would like to make this public statement of apology to our community members that were looking forward to having Dr. Johnson here this weekend. We sympathies and are more than willing to give anyone that purchased a ticket for this weeks event a FULL REFUND! Our main objective has always been the same in regards to transparency and trust with in the network as well as being totally committed to building the African Canadian community. At this time we encourage any individuals that may have purchased tickets to still participate in this weekends events in hopes that you will get a true sense of what the city wide Network is about, as well as get the details in regards to why this unfortunate situation happened and how we can better work together to prevent it from happening ever again. The Global Afrikan Communities Network is honoured to announce the return of the Prince of Pan-Afrikanism, Dr. Umar Johnson!
Back by popular demand, Toronto will be hosting the event at 1677 Wilson Avenue, on Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at the Toronto Plaza Hotel.
Dr. Umar Johnson is a certified school psychologist with a PHD in clinical psychology along with three undergrad degrees including political science. He is actively working towards the betterment of the Afrikan diaspora by uniting black people to help us eradicate issues that have been passed down generationally through, colonialism, white supremacy and negative mental indoctrination. Dr. Umar Johnson pushes a Pan- Afrikan movement because he believes it is high-time we come together to effectively work towards the positive progression of Afrikan people. With Toronto being the most diverse city in this world with more than half its population born outside of Canada; it should be our duty to attend this lectured event. From the continent to the Caribbean, lets show our support by representing the true essence of black love and unity. Dr. Umar Johnson is the epitome of leadership and Pan-Afrikanism.
